HKTDC launches seven events to cover lifestyle sectors and licensing in late April

Hong Kong has always been known for its rich blend of Chinese and Western cultures, generating a thriving cultural and creative ecosystem that has become one of the economic-growth engines. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host seven events covering lifestyle products and licensing industry in April. These include the Home InStyle and Fashion InStyle from 20 to 23 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Exhibitions and conferences will follow in the next week – the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair from 27 to 30 April at the HKCEC, the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and concurrently the debut DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong at AsiaWorld-Expo, as well as the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference from 27 to 29 April at the HKCEC. These seven events further promote Hong Kong’s lifestyle and creative industries, helping the sectors seize global opportunities.

HKTDC lifestyle, licensing events attract close to 56,000 buyers

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair; Home InStyle; the Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair; Fashion InStyle; the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair as well as the Hong Kong International Licensing Show successfully attracted close to 56,000 buyers from over 130 countries and regions. About 60% buyers were non-local coming from mainly Mainland China, Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Taiwan, the United States, Japan and Korea. The concurrent Asian Licensing Conference also invited about 30 global industrial giants and insiders to share insights. Exhibitors and buyers responding to surveys commissioned by the HKTDC said they expected business and sales to return to pre-pandemic levels within 6 to 18 months.

HKTDC unveils seven creative lifestyle, licensing events

The creative industry is a powerhouse of economic growth. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) unveiled seven creative events today covering fashion, lifestyle and licensing at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The events are the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair; Home InStyle; the Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair; Fashion InStyle and the Hong Kong International Printing and Packaging Fair, as well as the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference. As international business travel and commercial activities return to normal, these seven events have attracted more than 4,100 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions, covering gifts, home products, home textiles, fashion, printing and packaging solutions, licensing projects and more, while the Asian Licensing Conference has invited about 30 global industrial giants and insiders to share insights.

HKTDC launches seven parallel events to cover lifestyle products and licensing

As Asia’s cultural and creativity hub, Hong Kong brings together innovative ideas and design talents. Coupled with the increasing demand of sophisticated consumers in pursuit of excellence, innovation and quality life, various industries such as fashion, lifestyle, product design and licensing are developing rapidly, creating abundant business opportunities. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will hold a series of exhibitions and conferences this spring, covering various lifestyle sectors. The seven events will run concurrently for the first time, from 19-22 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The events include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair; Home InStyle (formerly the Hong Kong Houseware Fair); the Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair; Fashion InStyle (formerly Hong Kong Fashion Week); the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair as well as the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference which will end on 21 April. Under the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, exhibitors and buyers have the opportunity to participate beyond physical shows, through the intelligent Click2Match platform which will run until 29 April.

HKTDC launches brand-new exhibition model EXHIBITION+

International trade fairs and sourcing modes have seen dramatic changes in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the organisers of many physical exhibitions and seminars taking a new digitised or hybrid path. To assist enterprises in adapting to the new normal, and help them stay closely connected to international buyers, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is launching the brand-new hybrid exhibition model EXHIBITION+ to strengthen its exhibition platform. Meanwhile, the HKTDC International Sourcing Show runs from 5 to 8 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Exhibitors and buyers at the event will be among the first to enjoy the smart business-matching platform, Click2Match, to actively assist them in seizing business opportunities.

HKTDC launches advanced online virtual exhibition

In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has acted swiftly to change its strategy, migrating the nine physical exhibitions originally scheduled to be held by the end of July onto an online platform. In addition, an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled business matching service is being introduced to help suppliers and buyers close more deals. Organised by the HKTDC, Summer Sourcing Weeks | Go ONLINE opens today (27 July) and runs until 7 August. This 9-in-1 virtual trade exhibition has attracted more than 1,300 exhibitors, featuring lighting, electronics, information and communications technology (ICT), medical and healthcare, houseware, fashion, home textiles and furnishings, gifts, printing and packaging products. This brand-new online exhibition platform will help global buyers to replenish supplies and assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in exploring new business opportunities during a difficult time.
